Exercise Won’t Make You Thin
Did you know that exercise won’t make you thin?
According to a Time article, exercise, while good for you for other reasons, won’t make you thin because exercise stimulates the appetite. When your appetite is stimulated, you eat more calories. When you work out, you benefit because you burn calories, improve cardiovascular health, and do other great things for your body but you also make yourself hungrier!
It’s an interesting article and while it won’t stop me from exercising, it’s still good to read these types of articles so you’re well informed.

Mar 8, 2010 - 03:03:18if you cut out the mentality of “i worked out, so i earned a piece of cake,” THEN exercise helps you lose weight.
if you only work out to offset your cake intake and you don’t regularly eat a nutritious and balanced diet, of COURSE it won’t help you lose weight. exercise should just be something you do as a habit for your own good, and find a way to do it so you enjoy it, not some chore you have to force yourself into and then reward yourself for making it through such an awful, awful task…
don’t stop for french fries on your way home from the gym, it’s like tossing everything you’ve worked for out the window…
